LABEL FINAL FILM SPECIFICATIONS
There
are three kinds of color modes used for silk screening
the CD label:

common)

maximum line screen Films supplied to Dambiz should
be prepared as follows:
- Screen
ruling: 102 lines / inch or 40 lines / cm
- Ruling:
For 1 film : 36° For 2 or 3 films : 36°, 96°, 156°
If
you are using pale densities observe the following
specifications:
- Screen
ruling: 117 lines / inch or 46 lines / cm It is recommended
to avoid densities paler than 15% For 1 film : 38°
For 2 or 3 films : 38°, 98°, 158
You
can use other rulings, but to avoid morié while printing
spot colors, a difference of 30° or 60° between colors
is necessary.

Film
specs using 4 COLOR PROCESS
We do not guarantee the quality of the print, if you
choose a 3 color only process. Using yellow, magenta,
cyan and black.

In
order to prevent moire' patterns on 4
color process films
supplied to Dambiz Records should be prepared as follows:

Screening
OFFSET (4 COLOR PROCESS -CMYK)
Dambiz offers a high-quality definition of the
picture due to the OFFSET process (a white background
is silk screened on the entire surface of the CD, the
4 color offset printing is overprinted on the white and
a clear glaze is applied over the offset printing).

Screen ruling: 175 lines/inch or 75 lines/cm
Angulation:
Yellow
90°
Magenta 45°
Cyan 165°
Black 105°
Type of dots: Elliptic
Emulsion density: 4.0 and more
Registration marks: they are essential
Letter sizes and line widths (offset printing)
- Regular
(positive):
Minimum
size: 4 points (.055")(1.40mm)
Strike thickness: 1/4 point (.004") (.1mm)
'Serif': 12 points (.165") (4.2mm)
- Reversed
(negative):
Minimum size: 5 points (.069'') (1.75mm)
Strike thickness: 1 point (.014'') (.35mm)
Common Errors
Please
avoid serif, old style and light font. Bold characters
offer better results The offset printing requires a
1/4 point spread (0.004") (0.10mm) The images are best
scanned in 400dpi. A 2540dpi resolution is recommended
