LABEL DESIGN INFORMATION:
Color
choices available
Dambiz
can reproduce any color from the Pantone color formula
guide 1000 as well as the Pantone Metallic color Guide.
We do not print mat colors. We
strongly suggest that you don't use any fluorescent
colors since they rapidly lose their luster.
Please
be aware that slight color deviations may occur between
a color printed on a white surface and the same color
printed on the CD's aluminum-colored surface since aluminium
is reflecting light (the colors might seem darker on
the disc than on white paper). There
are THREE types of CD label screening modes available:
| 1. |
PMS - Pantone Matching System The most common method
we use - Silk Screen. This process uses the Pantone
Formula 1000 guide to identify which shade of color
you would like. It is the most accurate means of
identifying color. You can use 1 to 7 passes of
PMS color onto the surface of the disc. Silk screening
is like doing t-shirts - ink passes through a fine
mesh screen with your color choice. |
| 2. |
Process
color - silk screen. Same thing as above only using
the four primary colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and
blacK. These four colors (plus a 5th white "undercoat"
will give you all the colors of the rainbow. If
you have a color photograph - convert it to CMYK
color mode and voila! - a semi-accurate picture
disc. |
| 3. |
Off-set
screening. This is where the fun is. A high definition
offset screen uses 175 line screen (that's high
res!) CMYK colors (see above) plus a gloss lacquer
coat to achieve a remarkable finish. It is expensive
but well worth it. Imagine a photograph on a CD
and you get the picture. |

DISC
SERIALIZATION
DAMBIZ
offers the possibility of printing a serial number,
a series of letters or a barcode on each CD, for internal
use, for identification and tracking purposes. The barcode
or alphanumeric fonts are printed on the disc with an
ink jet process. The serial number, the series of letters
or the barcode are printed approximately 5 mm from the
center hole of the disc. It is printed on the same side
as the label. This
service requires an additional operation which affects
the price of your CD. Listed
below are some features of the printer used for disc
serialization:
Better
results can be achieved with six characters on one line.
The best option would be 5 x 7 tl. Due to space limitation
on the disc surface, the serial number or barcode should
be printed in a single line format. A serial number
or a barcode can only be printed once on the same disc.
The designated numbers of a series of numbers or barcode
can increase or decrease by constant only. It is possible
to print more than six characters (please contact your
Customer Service Coordinator for more information).
