1.
Images in hard copy (snap shots or on paper) that we
can scan.
- Our
scanner accepts images no larger than 8" x 10"
- Scanning
costs $12 per image. Or to save money, send in your
own computer images from Photoshop.
- SAVE
AS TIF (uncompressed)
- Original
Scans done in 300 d.p.i. (no Internet GIFs or JPG
files!)
- Save
as CMYK color mode (more info below)
- MAC
or PC Images should be sized to the final dimensions
you require.
- Our
film uses 150 line screen so the best quality comes
from 300 d.p.i. images
- By
doubling the line screen you "key in" on the best
lignment of dots
- Anything
higher than 300 dpi increases dot gain and will look
worse than 300 d.p.i. Anything lower than 300 starts
to pixilate.
- The
COLOR MODE of your electronic images should be either
CMYK color or GRAY SCALE. If you use Photoshop under
the "Image" menu is a sub menu called "Mode" under
the mode menu choose CMYK or GRAYSCALE.
2. Text - only electronic formats will be accepted.
No hard copy print-outs! Each booklet panel is 4.75"
square so please ensure your text will fit within the
page setup size! Use a minimum 6 point font size. Acceptable
formats for words:

- **
NOTE If you want to use bullets, columns, tabs or
specialized text spacing then you must supply a MSWORD
document with all these features built into the document.
- Please
send all FONTS that you want us to use! (see below)
Paste Fonts onto your floppy drive and submit MAC
users open your System Folder/Fonts and copy the font
suitcase of your choice.
- Please
note that all Adobe Type 1 fonts must also include
a POST SCRIPT PRINTER version indicated by a red letter
"A" icon.
3.
Mock up of the booklet and/or label showing the size
and position of the images and description of the text
layout. You can simply draw squares (or a circle for
the label) on a blank sheet of paper showing us where
to put things. You will want to explain text in "Blocks"
ie: when you type out the words electronically, make
headings with Block "A", Block "B", etc. and then simply
point to the drawn boxes showing were each "Block" should
be placed. Please keep in mind that the more descriptive
your request, the better your chance you will be happy
with the results. Simply providing pictures and text
is not enough.
